The Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, said that the ministry he leads supports the Astra Film Festival, a non-fiction cinematographic event that "promises unique, profound experiences". According to the minister: "Cinematography unites us again, here in Sibiu. Our city is an open stage for the 31st edition of the international non-fiction cinema festival. True stories will be told. Destinies and realities will be presented that will invite the public to imagination. Astra Film Festival promises unique, profound experiences that will make us think and move our souls". Also, Raluca Turcan, parliamentarian from Sibiu, showed that she supported this event since the first edition and congratulated the organizers for how the festival grew from year to year: "I have been a supporter and a fan from the beginning of this festival, and as the Minister of Culture I congratulate the Astra Film team, which has managed to grow this festival, year after year. Documentary films, immersive performances, opportunities for young filmmakers, film workshops for children, all these will make Astra Film Festival 2024, an unforgettable edition Astra Film Festival together with the Sibiu International Theater Festival, SCAF, ARTmania or Sibiu Opera are events that the Ministry of Culture supports in Sibiu, year after year and which bring joy to the Sibiu audience, but also to the tourists who often come here for these shows.
